Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. As a child, she was exposed to many classical music and old boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense training in singing at 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. Following her move to California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in the southern part of California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to sing the same.
